how to wear overalls with style in town: the choice of shirt is important!

many are saying that it is completely out of question to wear overalls in town, especially for business meetings, but I think it is a matter of choosing the right shirt. If you have an elegant shirt, I mean not a tee shirt, but a wowen shirt of wool or linen, or a hawaii shirt, then you can present yourself as an elegant bib guy, no matter what sex ! It is the totality which counts!

I makes me really happy to see all the frugal and beautiful clothing coming in the middle of the situation where the environment is changing due to bad habits and now we are moving forward towards good habits, I also read some place yesterday that perhaps US is moving to the left ?!? perhaps too optimistic, but threadbanger is really something!

overalls are back also in Denmark, what about your place ?

Being on vacation in Denmark in my farmhouse, I have been in the second-largest city in Denmark, Aarhus, and saw several women in overalls in cafés and overalls in the shops. I cannot say that I liked all the fashionable versions of overalls. I think I prefer the old classic denim bib overalls, but there must be room for many kinds of overalls, thats for sure!, and it could be fun to know if other people have the same experience of seing more overalls in the streets around the world ?

I really try to understand why it is so awful and embarrasing for people to wear overalls and even to look at other people wearing overalls. I just wonder !

just a salute for thrift-stores and music on this rocking the climate day

while watching these many people supporting doing something with our environment, go to the thriftstores and buy your clothes. At some point, we may have fewer shops for clothing due to reuse and so those unemployed people may play music instead ! lets make more art and less profit !

breaking news – one more in overalls in town (or rather shortalls)!

I was wearing my most breathing overalls today, rolled up, almost shortalls style due to the very hot weather, and then suddenly a girl came wearing denim shortalls here in main street up here in sunny Northern Norway, really nice not to be the only one in town, so perhaps there will come more soon !

Bach and bibs (and coffee) work perfect together !

How can I make a connection between Johan Sebastian Bach and bib overalls ?; it may sound strange, but well for me it makes sense. Both Bach and bibs are characterized by simplicity, well structured, subtle refinements, no unnecessary pretensions and last but not least a special kind of beauty in both Bach and bibs ! at least, that is what I feel this morning in my well used pointer brand overalls listening to Keith Jarrett and Michala Petri playing Bach sonates, sitting out door soon with my coffee brought from New York from my friends over there, uumm that’s life!

and I am actually interested in other things than overalls !

for instance opera, not least making new opera, but that is just running, not much to write about. Perhaps it is because I dont see many overalls people that I am writing about that ! perhaps I should try to write about opera, I dont know, I will see
