Since 2007 I have talked with Susan about overalls and inspired by a special day for aprons, we decided in 2009 to make an International Overalls Day since we both wear them more or less every day and think they are the best ! Now we are preparing for the 5th celebration of our beloved overalls ! and since 2009 I have got several overalls friends, not least Laury, and this year it looks like we all 3, Susan, Laury and I are going to meet and celebrate it together in New Orleans, that will be overall fun ! and I will for sure wear one of my oldest overalls ! I bought them in a thrift store in San Francisco in 2001, IMGoveralls_0004 and then 8 years later, I wore them on the first international overalls day DSC01975 with patched pockets made by my wife and then last year, in 2012 I got them “enriched” by an overalls clad fiber artist Michelle 2012-12-14-18772012-12-14-1879 so the overalls I’ll wear to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the International Overalls Day/now Weekend has really an overall history !

Good, we will sing up to you šŸ™‚ ! and I just read your latest posts, and I agree and I think perhaps our small overalls movement can contribute a little bit to the understanding that we are all the same no matter color, gender, age etc. !
