A valley I’ll miss and come back to as emeritus !

September 15, 2013

2013-09-15-3664 Tomorrow I’m going to sign a formal application for retirement ! and prepare me mentally for my new career as professor emeritus, bib fessor emeritus ! and in these days I have been packing down my office on campus, but today I went 4 hours into the Valley near the city, and didn’t go up with the cable car due to low clouds, so I just went into the Valley all the way into the socalled Home of the Valley and found some fresh berries at the end and after that I went down to the city with a history of being the last civilised place before the North Pole for the Arctic explorers, so they have proper cafés with coffee and cake ! Enjoy the show overall ! 2013-09-15-36702013-09-15-36862013-09-15-36832013-09-15-36922013-09-15-36952013-09-15-37002013-09-15-37082013-09-15-37062013-09-15-3712

Niels -I love the photos! Reminds me of when I was younger and lived more in the mountains. What a beautiful way to finish your career and begin anew. Sorry I’d not seen this post earlier when congratulations were more relevant, but glad I saw it now! Be well.

Thanks a lot Tammy, it is definitively not too late, no reason for apologies. Yes, it was really a nice way to close about 20 years life up in the North and the foggy weather added a kind special atmosphere ! but now I’m well in my farmhouse in the very flat Denmark, but living out here in the fields is also really nice, especially when you are at good health, don’t feel a minute I’m close to 65, on the contrary, feel very young ready to start a new career with a lot of energy !
